Our favorite breakfast in Tahoe can be found at The Log Cabin. We often plan our morning snowboarding trips around what day we will be going to the mountain really and what day we will be going to breakfast. Just about everything on the menu is delicious but we tend to stick to the specials.

I don't know if they invented American Tapas, but they definitely are a good example of why we should see more of this cuisine. Our favorite dish are the Ahi-Sliders, and would also recommend the Butternut Squash soup when they have it.

Sterling's Seafood Steakhouse in Reno, Nevada

We happened upon this place on a second anniversary after a tip from our golf pairing earlier in the day. Amazing cuts of steaks and first class service in a contemporary setting. Save room for the Banana Walnut Cheesecake at the end!

When we need to break up our breakfast traditions, Squeeze In Cafe is the best stop in Truckee. The omelets are amazing and it is an excellent starting point for downtown Truckee exploration. 

Coffeebar opened up a few years ago on a side street in old town Truckee. Always has a line out the door, and the great tasting coffee is worth the wait. Get the lemon ricotta cookies if they have them, or the raspberry ricotta scones!
